Week 8: Cross Country

On Wednesday the 11th of September we held our annual cross country event.  This year, we have been working hard to fundraise for a canopy for our school courts as part of this. We have been very busy, gaining sponsorship for the different activities that we participated in on the day.  As well as running the course at school, we challenged ourselves to skip as many times as we could in a certain time, kick as many soccer goals as we could, traverse the tricky obstacle course and cheer other school members on while enjoying some cake and iceblocks for energy.    It was a fabulous day!  You can see some of us in action in the photos below.

If you have time, we would love some positive, thoughtful and helpful feedback.

  1. Hi my name is Chimay and I am a student in Hauraki at Waikowhai Primary School. It's great to see you having fun! What were some of your favourite moments? What did you dislike? I like the way you you didn't add too much writing and how you expressed the day perfectly. Maybe next time you could add more interesting vocabulary. But apart from that fantastic job Te Ana Ako!

  2. Kia Ora my name is Ayva! Looks like it was a lot of fun! Lots of smiles on peoples faces! and most importantly people are laughing and being sporty with their friends! What was your favourite activity of the day? I'm pretty sure the kids would be warn out at the end of the day from all their amazing running and jumping they did. Next time you could think about adding information about the different house colours they were wearing or about the different groups they were put in. Other than that it was an amazing blog post!
